The Nation's Largest Connected Bicycle Loop System. Trempealeau County Wisconsin Bicycle Loops , with 506 miles of paved back roads, only 3 cars per Hour!

Horse Trails

Imagine yourself on a leisurely horseback ride along the beautiful Trempealeau River. The Trempealeau County Horse Trail connected to Pietrek Park is located on Highway 93 between Arcadia and Independence.

horseAlong the trail there are places to stop for a brief rest and enjoy the sites and sounds of the serene river setting. While riding the trail it is normal to see Bald Eagles that nest along the river; as many as 30 of the magnificent birds have been reported.

Within the park are places to park and camp overnight. A 140 by 300 foot arena when not in use by the local 4-H clubs is available to rent for horse activities. Contact the County Clerks Office for available rates (715) 538-2311 ext 205.


Snowmobile Trails - Trempealeau County Trails Closed and Buffalo River State Trails are Closed

snowmobileEnjoy the pristine beauty of Trempealeau County's coulees as you have never seen it before. Snowmobiling allows you to view miles of Trempealeau's back county scenery, see wildlife in their natural habitat, and socialize with your friends.

More than 222 miles of groomed trails and several thousand miles of secondary trails will lead you to spacious fields, high coulees, remote farmyards, and hospitable villages.

These trails are intertwined and intersected by several miles of club trails that are open to the public. Form more information on snowmobile clubs visit the Association of Wisconsin Snowmobile Clubs .

The Buffalo River Trail is a 32 mile snowmobile trail on an old railroad bed going through Eleva, Strum and Osseo.
