Employees may be required or may request to attend classes, conferences, trainings or seminar sessions designed to improve job performance directly related to their position with this County. Employees may also be required to attend such sessions as a condition of employment as a County employee based on their position requirements, i.e. valid CDL, required state license, certifications, etc. Requests for attending such sessions shall be submitted with sufficient prior notice, in writing to allow adequate review by the Supervisor. Payment of wages for training and education will be in accordance with federal and state wage and hour laws. No classes, conferences, trainings or seminar sessions requests that are not directly related to County employment shall be approved for reimbursement.
