Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility of each employee at Trempealeau County. Any tardiness or absence places a burden on supervisors and other employees who have to perform absent employee's duties. No matter how skilled an employee, if they do not have a good attendance record, their contributions to the functioning of Trempealeau County are diminished. Absenteeism can cause scheduling problems for the department and can adversely affect our ability to serve the public. For these reasons, excessive absenteeism will not be tolerated.

Employees are expected to report to work as scheduled, on time and prepared to start work. Employees also are expected to remain at work for their entire work schedule.

It is a violation of the County policy not to notify your supervisor when you will be absent or late to work. Trempealeau County will consider it a voluntary termination should you not call your supervisor/ not report to work for three (3) consecutive days (no call/no show).
