What Is Community TV
Community, or Public Access, Television, means that citizens are given the opportunity to express themselves, free of charge, via the medium of television.
Anyone who resides in the service area of the TCC Cable TV system can use this facility on a first come, first serve basis to produce their own television program.
TCCTV is your channel, paid for by County and State dollars and contributions from the cable cooperative, local businesses, organizations and individuals.
Programs can be educational, informational, or simply "fun". The Community good is served by having a wide variety of interests and opinions represented on any and all topics.
Equipment, training and expertise are made available to help you get you your TV program produced.
Staff of TCCTV cannot censor your program, they help you produce it and inform you of limitations regarding libel and pornography. You are legally responsible for the contents of your own program!
Citizens can produce programs which are simply recordings of events (Examples might be a church service or scout meeting), or they can produce something like a whole series of studio programs, or can spend many hours editing a finished program on any topic of local or personal concern.
